Thanks Janice, I'm a member and read the magazine with interest. I'm hoping
to get a grip on which parish to investigate so that I can buy their
excellent transcripts which have helped me so much with another (Evans of
Trefriw) branch, Marian

Thank you for your message, Keith. You are 100% right on your
response.
I also am in search of an EDWARDS ancestor(s) from Caernarfonshire dating
to
the early 1800's. I have one bit of insight in that my ancestor was born
1807 in Bethesda, but beyond that, I have not been able to get any
further.
The 2007 Vol. 2, No. 53, edition of Gwynedd Roots has an excellent article
published in it regarding the problem of Civil Registration of Births
which
was written by Dave Wilson. Contact the Gwynedd Family History Society
for
insight into that article. Everyone can find the Gwynedd Family History
Society contact details through their favorite web browser.
