hello everyone.......
For a person just new on the list, answers on line teach us about the area
and how to ask questions that are better answered. Thanks to all thoses who
do answer on the list and help all of the new comers who are across the Big
ponds.

Thank you Keith foryour kind words about the fair. I think everyone
I
spoke
to had enjoyed the day - exhibitors and visitors alike. There were
more
exhibitors and visitors this year and we hope it will continue to grow in
popularity. A break now for a month or so and then it all starts again
ready
for next year. It was lovely to meet you and your wife and hope we
can do
so again next year.
With regard to your comments re the mailing list I am in total agrement
with
you. I have quite often answered queries on the list and had a reply
to
off
list. I think that unless someone asks specifically for an answer
off
list
then all communication should be on the list so that we can all
follow the
'trail'. You are quite right in recommending the 'reply all' button
instead
of simply 'reply'. The more communication there is on list
the more it
will
grow - hopefully.
Theank you again Keith and also to any of you who might have been at the
Fair and I wasn't able to talk to.
Best regards
Yvonne

I
must write to congratulate you, your committee and all your
volunteer
members who must have worked so hard to produce an excellent fair. The
venue
is ideal. The parking was easy. The refreshments were not overpriced.
There
was plenty of room to move around and plenty of seating to rest when
standing and walking became too much of an effort. There was a good mix of
stands, and everyone was so helpful. This morning I was contacted by a
lady
from Rhyl who was given my name by one of the people on the
Llandudno
History Society stand and it seems that we may well have information about
our forebears to exchange. All in all, a most successful day and well
worth
the two hundred mile round trip to attend.

yesterday - replies to messages on the Rootsweb mailing list. So many
times
I get interested in a problem or a query which has been raised by one
of
our
listers and I don't see an answer to that query, and then a day
or so
later
a message of thanks from the person who raised the query and I
don't know
what the answer was !!!!

the
person who wrote the original letter but everyone on the Gwynnedd
Rootsweb
list would be able to read the answer to the query.
