I would be grateful if someone could track down the following people.
Robert Pritchard married Ellen Morris at Pentraeth, Anglesey on September 11 1768. They
lived at Tan y Graig, Pentraeth in the 1770s, but later moved to Maes Llwyd, Llanbedrgoch
where they both died, Ellen in 1819 aged 78, and Robert in 1821 aged 82. Robert's
occupation was gardener.
Unfortunately the Pentraeth parish registers in Llangefni only go back to 1740, so just
after Robert's presumed year of birth of 1739, but in 1750-59 there is a John
Pritchard and Ann living at Tan y graig, Pentraeth, which I believe could well be
Robert's parents. (Probably the Bishop's Transcripts, kept at the National Library
of Wales would be the best bet).
Ellen would have been born in 1741, but there is no Ellen daughter of Morris X or X Morris
in Pentraeth in the period 1740-5, so I presume she was born in another parish.
They had a son Jehoiakim, who was born in 1778, who in 1801 lived at Beaumaris, and in
1813 and 1815 was described as gentleman's servant. This is a name which really should
stand out, and I would be grateful if anyone who comes across him in any estates record
could tell me whose servant he was (probably either the Bulkeleys or the Sparrows).
