Hello Gwyn,
Yes, there are some very familiar names occuring in both our WILLIAMS
families. There are so many John Williams but, not so many Francis
Williams - unless you go to Liverpool, then it seems to be more
prolific. I have also been on the lookout for any other Francis
Williams, and all the John Williams also.
My grgrgr Grandfather - John WILLIAMS, b. late 1700's (location
unkown)and a farmer in 1842 as provided on his son's marriage
certificate.
Son Francis WILLIAMS was born 1818 Bangor, Caer. Married 1842 to
Elizabeth POWELL (1818 of St Asaph, Flint) in Liverpool.
Their children:
1. John Francis WILLIAMS born July 1842 in Liverpool(has been listed on
Census as born in St Asaph but this was wrong as Census sometimes are)-
Joiner
2. Elizabeth WILLIAMS b about 1844 St Asaph, Flint
3. Samuel Frederick WILLIAMS b. July 1845 St Asaph, Flint -
Schoolmaster
4. Walter WILLIAMS b. about 1848 at Menai Bridge, Anglesey - Joiner &
lay cleric
5. Margaret WILLIAMS b. abt 1850 at Britannia Bridge, Anglesey
6. Eleanor WILLIAMS b. abt 1853, Menai Bridge, Anglesey (on another
Census it says Nebo, Anglesey)
7. Mary Elizabeth WILLIAMS b. abt 1856 Cardiff, Glamorgan.
8. Thomas Powell WILLIAMS b. Sept 1858 St Asaph, Flint - Joiner
Gwynn, although we don't have a match at this time, I always keep
Williams families on file for future reference.
I should have further information on my John Williams (late 1700's) and
Francis Williams (1818) if I get myself organized here and send away for
it. I'll post it to the list when I get that.
Thanks for getting in touch.

I have just been re-reading a message I received in January, of correspondence between
Bonnie Henderson and Stanley Wrigley and some very familiar names, but not places or dates
jumped out at me. I'll explain.
