Hi Stan,
Thanks for the picture of Britannia Bridge that you sent with my
membership package. I haven't had too much time to devote lately to my
favourite hobby but there's always tomorrow.
I did have a little bit of information off of the National Library of
Wales site to do with my Francis WILLIAMS's (b 1818 Bangor)
father-in-law- Thomas POWELL.
I'm going to spring into action here and send away for the information
right away but in the meantime it says:
----------------------
Welsh Church Commission
Parish of Llandysilio
Leases, counterpart leases, leases and releases and mortgages of parcels
of land and properties forming part of
Craigiau'r Borth to the following recipients:
8 Mar. 1847: Thomas POWELL of St Asaph, co. Flint, master builder
-------------------------------
I understand that Menai Bridge is in the Parish of Llandysilio,
Anglesey.
I wonder what Thomas Powell was up to anyway??
Stan, do you know what 'Craigiau'r Borth' was? If you don't know then
hopefully I'll find out when the information comes back from the NLW.
I'm also sending away for Thomas Powell's will from there. It should be
very interesting!
Thanks again.
