I am hoping someone can help me with some information.
I am trying to find out where my father was born. (he died in 1963). I was told sometime ago that his father had a farm at the foot of Mount Snowdon and I was wondering if there is anybody out there who can help.
My fathers name was Michael Martin PIERCE (spelling could be PEARCE) He was born in the early 1900's
His father was called Richard PIERCE(PEARCE). My father also had a brother called Richard who I believe emigrated to America and he also had a sister. I know this is probably a longshot but maybe someone has some records they could check. Or some local knowledge. I would be very grateful for any help.
The only definate thing I have been able to find from a 1936 electoral roll was that he was living at Llawr Y Betwys Uchaf, Llawrybetws, Corwen in 1936. I am hoping to find out Where and when he was born and when he moved to Llawr Y Betwys.
I cannot find anything relating to the birth of a Michael Martin PIERCE (PEARCE) in the GRO index.
I would be very grateful for any information that can be provided, or any suggestions to help me find this information.
Many thanks
Maureen (Oxfordshire)
Gordon,
Just buy a good Anti virus programme. I can't see how you can avoid opening
attachments. You must be missing a lot of information, unnecessarily.

I have e-mails from Staffordshire and Middmarches, and I have rarely ever
seen an attachment,in fact we are constantly warned Never open one as they
may contain a Virus that can play havock with computers,as i know very
little about them,I have to use the Dummies Book to use my P.C.and have
never opend an attachment so I will never know if I have had answers to my
questions from Gwynedd.
Thanks Gordon.

Whilst in the Eisteddfod, one of the people on the Clwyd FHS stand mentioned
something about a new family history research centre in Felinheli /
Portdinorwic. Unfortunately the rain caused my hearing aids to play up and I
didn't quite understand what was being said.
Is there a new centre in Felinheli? Will there be one soon? Or did I just get
totally confused by the conversation?
All the best
Alwyn
