Hi Glyn
I've made the connection.Thomas WILLIAMS is John and
Elizabeth's son.
The 1851 census shows him living at gardd lygaid du
with his mother Elizabeth a widow of 59.
Also, to make sure, I phoned my elderly aunt and asked
her if she recognized the name gardd lygad du, and she
remembered that her nain was born there, or as you
noted, garlag du.
Thomas married at Beddgelert Marry JONES on 26 August
1865.
After two years researching my hen nains
family(jane)and nothing, one message to the list and
WOW! Thank you.
Hope to hear from you soon

I need help! I signed up for the 14 day FREE trial of Ancestry.com. Within
those 14 days I haven't really found much of anything. Either I don't know
where or how to search, or there is nothing useful for me there. Now my 14
days are up, but I can't decide weither I should keep trying with it for the
$59.00 yearly fee and a free Library CD ($45.00 value) or just cancel it.
My other problem is I can't figure out HOW to cancel it if I wanted to.
Who can help me??
