Hello all,
For the last 3 years I been researching and writing a book on Briton Ferry in the Great
War 1914-1918, with publication due next year. As part of that, I've been writing the
detailed obituaries of all the Briton Ferry men on the memorial and also the stories of
many of those that returned. I've got a photographic exhibition on at Briton Ferry
Library at the moment. Wherever possible I am trying to find photographs of the men, and
in many cases I have been successful, with families coming forward with some wonderful
material. I wanted to ask if anyone out there who had family from Briton Ferry in the war,
particularly if they have photographs or family information to get in touch so that I can,
with your permission, include it in the book. I want to make the memorial volume a fitting
tribute to the men and women from the town who went to that terrible conflict. I hope to
hear from anyone who may have such information. With best regards. Jon.
