Hello Mike,
Thank you for all your research. John and Margaret and the children listed
in previous e-mail were living in Briton Ferry in 1901. John's occupation
is listed as Supervisor of Assurance Company. The eldest son David John (14
yrs. old) is listed as Assistant in Japanese Tea House. I also thought that
Baden Powell was an unusual name. Throught internet research I found out
that Baden Powell was the founder of the Boy Scouts in Britain.
Thanks again for your help.
Good day,
Kris Smith

Hi Kris,
I have a John and Margaret Roberts in my tree but unfortunately that is a
hundred years earlier.
I could not find the deaths of Margaret or Baden on Free BMD, nor their
burials at Giants Grave, they could of course be buried at Ynysmaerdy the
Council run cemetery in Briton Ferry. Neither could I find a marriage for
a John Roberts and Margaret.
You didn't mention where they were living in 1901, that may have provided
a likely burial area clue, I assume it was Briton Ferry.
I tried to find John Roberts in the 1881 Census in Swansea but there were
about 8 candidates so without anything else to go on couldn't decide the
most likely candidate, a job in the 1901 may have given an indication.
You could try the 1891 Census for Glamorgan that may give a lead to an
1881 Census candidate via job or better still a relative living with them.
You could also try the BMD Index for Baden Powell that is an unusual
forename so may establish a date for you.
If you get any more information let me know,
Sorry I could not be of any help,
Regards,
Mike
