Hello Greetings to you all,a puzzle for the New Year! I hope this is the correct list
being as though it is adjacent to Chester?
My husband has the above PARRY men in his family.
Griffith PARRY was listed as deceased in 1848,having been a butcher,no other details. John
his son a widower aged 35 married May 1848 in St.Oswald's Church Great Boughton, when
he was a labourer, his bride was Ann WICKSTEAD.
They had a son Richard born in March 1853,when living in Wellington St. Chester.
By the time Richard married in 1878 he was living in Holt St.Wrexham and was a coal
dealer.
Richard had a son Luke born in Chester and a daughter Mary A born in 1881 in Wrexham.
Luke went on to be an Iron Dealer in Chester, listed on the '01 Census.
Although Chester is where John was married,Richard both born and wed,is it a strong
possibility that with a Christian name of Griffith
there is a Welsh place connection?
I would be most grateful for guidance as to how I can further my researches?
Does anyone recognise any of these names?
Thanks,
Regards,
Suzanne
