I understand that someone has access to the Hawarden Parish Registers.
The parish registers for Hawarden have been deposited in the
Flintshire Record Office, as have most of the parish registers for
Flintshire.
Members of Clwyd Family History Society have transcribed all the
parish registers, up to the year 1812 at least (and up to the year
1850 in the case of Hawarden)
Clwyd FHS is the only FHS in Wales to have undertaken, and completed,
the transcription of the registers for all the "ancient" parishes for
its area. This was done with the permission of the authorities of
the Church in Wales, and with the willing co-operation of the
Flintshire and Denbighshire Records Offices, and the National Library
of Wales.
This was an enormous project, which took literally years of work by a
team of dedicated, unpaid, volunteers; and which involved the Society
in considerable expense.
The transcriptions are now available for sale, either as "A4"
booklets, or on microfiche.
Details of the transcriptions can be seen on the relevant GENUKI pages
for each parish. The GENUKI pages for Flintshire are at :
http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/FLN/
Information about the transcription project can be seen on the Clwyd
FHS website, at :
