I do know that some of the Barnes family ended up in Lancashire, Bolton I believe. It has
always been a mystery to me how my uncle George was related to us Hopkin, Jackson,
Roberts, Hardacre and Ralphs, now suddenly having a Barnes in Clwyd district gives a good
clue.
My Barnes was a George Barnes from Lancashire, he was a registrar /solicitor at law in
Fareham Hampshire from about 1940 to 1975 retired moved to Wakefield Yorkshire. He was
into family research and said that Barnes were involved in both the start of the
cooperative movement and the Wesleyians
More I don't know and haven't gone into that side of the family
