Hi,
I am looking for info on my G G G Grandparents, John Pryce Morris and Janet Eleanor Morris
(nee Roberts), and any other family members related to them.
They - I was told - moved to Ohio with three sons, they would have moved probably after
the 1860s - although that is a guess. Then moved onto Cleveland.
If anyone has any more info could they please email me... any census info from the UK
census would be helpful aswell with respect to John Pryce Morris, and his family!
I have John Thomas Morris' (John Pryce Morris' son) census entry for 1901 and
1881, he was a Steamship Engine Driver in 1901. In both he lived in Connah's Quay,
North Wales. John Thomas Morris was born in Liverpool in 1854, his son John Pryce Morris
was born in Chester on 20 Mar 1879, within a year-or-so this birth they appear to have
moved to Connah's Quay.
The source of the info about John Pryce Morris going to the States was my G G Aunt Cissie
Morris who left my family this information in a note which I've included below,
unfortunately with no dates mentioned. Any comments by me are in brackets:
----
"My mother, Catherine Jones (my GG Grandmother) - better known as Kate, came from
Caernarvon, [Wales] her father was Isaac Jones a wagon builder for the railway who was
transfered to Chester [England].
My father was John Thomas Morris (my GG Grandfather) he lived with his grandmother &
aunt at Halkyn Hall, N. Wales, and went to a private school in Holywell.
His father - John Pryce Morris - went to the USA with his wife and three other sons (no
names provided), many years ago, but my father would not go. At first they went to Akroo,
Ohio. Afterwards to Cleveland. My father's brother invented the Morris Plough, another
brother's son is doing very well in California.
My father's mother's name was Janet Eleanor Roberts. She came from the Holywell
& Mold District where her family were all farmers."

Many thanks, in advance!!!
Jonathan
