Hi,
I was just searching google for "Connah's Quay" and "Genealogy",
to see what came up, and one link is to the site listing the genealogy of HIH Grand Duke
Mikheal Nikolaievitch, of the Romanov family.
Something I didn't know is that there was someone from Connah's Quay married into
his family, the wedding taking place in London.
The details of the marriage are (from one of the websites):
HSH Nadeshda Dimitrievna Princess Romanovskaya-Koutouzova [Princess of the house of
Romanov] (b. 4 July 1933), married on 20 Dec 1952 Anthony Allen (b. 6 May 1931
Connah's Quay, Wales). Divorced 1976. She then went to San Francisco. The Princess had
three children by Anthony.
To get access to the site you need to use google's cache - the website has been
removed from the web now.
Another site lists the marriage as being between the Princess and Brian Allen.

Anyother site listing the members of Royal family give Anthony Bryan Allen a mention.

A different site says Anthony's children are direct descendents of William the
Conqueror.

Sadly Princess Nadeshda Romanov died on 17 Sept 2002 in Vancouver. I think that Dr Allen
is still alive, and would now be 73 years old.

All this Royal history linked to the Quay and I doubt many people on Deeside know about
it.
