I am new to the Flintshire mailing list and would like to enlist the help
from some knowledgeable subscribers please.
I am looking for the birth of David Crawley JONES. I have been through the
GRO at our local FHC for the periods 1840 to 1860 and have been unable to
locate his birth.
Looking at his marriage certificate dated 1872 from Montgomeryshire, it has
his age as 22.
I have his death certificate dated 1913 age 66.
I have located him in the 1881 census age 31.
I have located him in the 1891 census age 42.
Working out the maths in the above, I have a range of 1847 to 1850 for him
to be born. Both census say that he was born in Mold, Flintshire.
As a matter of interest, he eventually was a schoolteacher at Hooten
Roberts, Maltby, Rotherham, England and he was the enumerator of that area
in the 1891 census. So I am picking that he knew where he was born and the
age he was at that time.
According to his marriage certificate, his father was one Robert JONES a
printer in Mold.
Does any one recognise the name or is able to look up births in the
1847/1850 period to locate this birth please.
This is the second posting of this request for help. Thank you.
Cheers, Wendy
