Hi Diane - I am researching JONE's in the Mold area. I have not been able
to find any of them in the 1851 census of Mold. I had to send to Holywell,
Flintshire Registrar to obtain the birth certificate of my ggrandfather
David Crawley JONES. On his birth certificate of 1847, he was only David
JONES. The Crawley was found on his marriage and death certs. His parents
were Robert JONES and Sarah GRIFFITHS. Sarah was born in 1823 in Hooten,
Cheshire, England (which is just across the border from Mold). Robert was a
printer in Mold, I do not have a birth date for him.
Do you thinks my Robert and your Moses may be related?
Cheers, Wendy

Subject: [FLN] JONES - Mold, Flintshire
Hello to everyone
Looking for anyone who may be researching the same JONES'.
My ggrandmother was Mary JONES b. abt 1854 Mold, FLN. Her father's name was
Moses JONES, a butcher.
Mary's marriage cert. of Feb 1872 at the Free Church, Mold, states: age 17,
spinster, living at Garden Place, Mold, a witness was Annie JONES (maybe her
sister). Mary's married name was WEBB and I found her in the 1881 Census.
Unfortunately that is all I have so far.
