Can any one please offer me help or guidance in searching for Powell's in Flintshire
c.1800
In particular George Powell born in Flintshire.
The 1841 Census records his age as 42 (b1799) but the 1851 census records his age as 40
(b1811)
His profession was a horse breaker / ostler and he seems to have lived in Birkenhead, then
in Cheshire now Wirral (England) from at least 1841 onwards where his wife Sophia (nee ?)
is recorded in 1841 as being aged 35 (b1806).
They had 5 children Jane (b1830), Mary (b1835), George (b1837) and John (b1841) as Sophia
is not recorded in the 1851 census I am guessing she may have died between 1841 and 1851
possibly giving birth to John ??
If anyone else would like information on Powell's in Birkenhead 1830's -1900 I
have a reasonable amount of data I would be happy to share.
Many thanks all good luck on your own projects.
Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone has access to 1851 Census for Overton, and if so,
could they please check for the following:
John KELSALL (b.1821 Shrop), occupation policeman.
His wife Susannah and sons Thomas Samuel KELSALL (b. 1848) and baby William
(b. April 1851). I believe they moved to Birmingham around 1853.
I would love to hear from anyone with any KELSALL family connections,
Flint/Shrop/Warwick/Worcestor.
Regards, Andrea.
