Sorry to be jumping in late but have only just got round to reading
my mail backlog.
Try looking for Mesham, Measham, Messham, Mepham, Mespham variants -
the 'p' in the last two being the old-style which looks rather like
an f without the bar across the middle and can easily be confused
with a 'p' in this name. I have seen a number of them - better yet
give me a day or two and I'll see what I have tucked away for that
name. Many of my interests are in Hawarden and I have a few Messhams
in the 1800s and one or two earlier as well.

It may be of some use to you.
Messham is a fairly common Buckley name and I seem to remember an
article in
the Buckley Soc mag about them.
In fact one of the main contributors is a Messham.
