Dear Listers,
I have one of my elusive relatives with a Welsh connection. He was a great
artist and porcelain painter at the Royal Worcester Factory. One of my
cousins has told me that her great grandfather painted in Wales. He was
Thomas CALLOWHILL, whose landscapes are well known. Can anyone help us
locate this place so I can contact the correct mailing list to see if
someone has a picture of the hotel and the local area that he painted.

i hope SKS can direct me to the correct spot.
Kindest regards,

A possibility is that the name is Tan y Bwlch or Tan-y-Bwlch. I don't
know if there is a Tan y Bwlch Hotel near Capel Curig but there is a
place called Tan y Bwlch about 11 miles SSW of Capel Curig at
SH658408 and it may have a hotel of this name.
In any case I should post to the Gwynedd and Caernarfonshire mailing lists.
