Subject: [FLN] Looking for Davies family 1818
Hello all,
I am new to this list, so I thought I would post my interests. Please
help
if you can. Thanks....
My ancestors are rumored to have started in Holywell, Flintshire, Wales.
The
story goes that when they migrated to Greasby, Cheshire they walked
around
the bay. Of course, there is also the fable of a woman of means marrying
one
of my not so wealthy Davies men. I have not been able to confirm
this --
surprise!! Anyway, the Davies' I am interested in are as follows and come
from my family bible -
John Davies (son of John Davies and Anne Edwards - daughter of Daniel &
Elizabeth)
born 16 Dec 1818
Holywell, Flintshire
Baptised on 18 Dec 1818 ( by Samuel Davies - Wesleyan Minister)
John Davies (born 1818) had the following children-
Robert - 18 Oct 1841
Elizabeth - 5 Feb 1843
William - 3 Feb 1846 (crossed out in bible)
Mary An - 30 Aug 1848
Jane - 4 Nov 1850
John - 25 Feb 1853 ( my great grandfather)
William - 26 Aug 1861
Another date for a child born 4 Jun 1858
No name for mother, yet.
I could add another generation, but I don't want to go overboard. If any
of
this info clicks please let me know. Thanks so much!!
