Sorry but she is Irish, from county Mayo, but at the time she operated there were more
than enough Welsh pirates from North Wales to make travel accross the Irish sea pretty
dodgey, It was Elizabeth's campaign against the pirates both on the west and east side
of Ireland that brought her to fame as she sailed from, Mayo to London to see the queen.
to complain about her treatment at the hands of Elizabeth's governor.
Reason I remarked was that the famine etc brought many Irish North Wales
