Thank you all for your replies and suggestions. I believe I will read that book first
before going in to searching for records. Also Doris, I may take you up on your offer
when I can get back to those dates listed. And I will join the Clwydd List.
Again, Thanks for the information

Hello List,
I am new to doing research in Wales and need some advice.
So far, I have traced my husbands lineage to a small town in Ysceifiog. However, I
can't seem to make head nor tales about where to write to obtain birth certificates?
If some kind soul could lead me in the right direction, I would be truly greatful. Also,
one more question.
Is there a research book on doing family research in this area that someone could
recommend?
Thank you,
Michelle Horton.

Hi Michelle,
There is an excellent book entitled ' Welsh Family History a Guide to
Research', published by The Assiciation of Family History Societies of
Wales. Well worth a look.
Cheers
Patricia

Hi again Michelle,
You would be wise to also post your enquiry on the Clwyd List, which is one
of the busiest lists, thereby giving yourself a better chance of a postitive
reply.
Cheers and welcome to researching in Wales.

Dear Michelle,
I have the parish baptism records 1810-1812 if I can be of help. The Clwyd
has birth and death records also for a small sum. They are a great help.
