Hello Bryn,
My friend has contacted me regarding her Blackwell ancestors, (she is a work
colleague, so I only see her on a Thursday). She is obviously shocked at her
oral history being disproved! but delighted to find that she has such a rich
and long ancestry. She would be very grateful for any information you may
have on the Francis Blackwell/Leah Harrison family tree.
Thank you for all your help.
Diane

Hello Diane,
I have Francis Blackwell going back several generations to Henry and Ann
Blackwell who came to Halkyn Mountain, in Ysgeifiog parish, in the 1660s,
presumably from Derbyshire, where most skilled lead miners came from.
Leah's
ancestors were also from ex-Derbyshire stock.
Whether or not your friend wants the whole of these family trees or prefers
just a lead so as to enjoy the hunt herself I leave to both of you.
Best wishes,
Bryn
