Have you tried the Mormon church?
As a family history buff I have found the local very helpful as the
films for these census can be ordered.
For periods before the census try Clywd Family history society, they are
excellent for the area
Dear Kyffin,
The only other information i have is that i believe Thomas Jones to have
been the son of a Robert Jones. Thomas married an Elizabeth Williams as i
said in 1871 at Rhydymwyn church. I have found Elizabeths family on the 1871
census at 61 carrig booth Cilcain. Her parents were Joseph Williams born in
Ysceifiog and Bella born in Cilcain.
By 1881 this family were at 30 Pafamgaled Llysnyread Llystynhunydd.
The only census information i have on the Joneses is that in 1881 Thomas was
living with his family at 46 Pantymwyn, Gwernafield.
You obviously know the area better than me so i will bow to your local
knowledge.
I really need to try to find Thomas Jones on the census of 1851 and 1861.
Do you know if there is an index for either of these census returns.
If i can find any more information i would be quite happy to share it with
you as it is quite possible that there is a link somewhere.
I have no record of any Annes in our family, the only female names appear to
be Arabella, Elizabeth , and Mariah. There seems to be a regular use of the
parents names for the eldest born boy and girl.
Best wishes
David Constantine
