well natalia,
what more can I say but THANK YOU, I have managed to sort all these families
out, and they are all mine.
am I right in assuming that all these B/M/Ds would have taken place at the
old parish church in HAWARDEN? as I know little about wales, it comes as
quite a shock (a very pleasant one I may add) that I have 3 generations of
welsh ancestry, so I guess this makes me more than a little bit welsh?.
I just had a quick lookup on the IGI for wolfe,s in the 1600,s, and didnt
spot any in cheshire, but there are quite a few in shropshire, I think this
is the next (joined on )county, if I am not mistaken, so working on your
theory, maybe this was where they came from. I dont know what you think, but
I wouldnt think they would have trvelled too far in those days, as the most
they would have had was a horse and cart, or possibly even walked, what do
you think?
I also had a look for the probate documents you mentioned, I couldnt find
them, but there is a will for the same JOHN WOLFE?.
where are the PRs kept for hawarden? as I would like to have a look for the
bapts of the wolfe spouses.,are they online?
I noticed that there is a CLWyd mailing list, so will subscribe to that.
well natalia, once again thanks for all your help.
regards maggi
