Hi Bill
Salop is the old name for Shropshire. This county is in England and borders
on to Wales so it may be worth looking for Shropshire as well as Welsh
records.

Subject: [FLN] Terrick
Today, I came accross my first lead on my 4 x great grandmother in 9 years.
Ancestry has a copy of the County Families of Flintshire. On page 445 eighth
line first paragraph upper right column, it lists a Terrick Hall - the Royal
Horse Artillery of Terrick Hall, Salop - to be exact.
My 4 x great grandmother was Elizabeth Terrick. All anyone knows is that she
was from Wales. I tried one other list to no avail. It is like telling me my
Walsh (Welch) relatives were from Ireland - still do not know from whenc e
they came.
I am looking for some help on the Terrick family. Elizabeth "Bethie" was
born in 1775 and died on Merasheen Island, Newfoundland on 23 Dec 1848. She
11 children on Merasheen Island; the youngest being my 3 x great
grandmother. Are there any Welsh records that go back that far in
Flintshire?
