Charles,
There is an Anglican Church in Trefnant (and a Chapel I think). Trefnant is
in the diocese of St. Asaph 2 miles away. Parish marriage records will be
held somewhere.
As Edward and Lydia were both born in 1824 they would have probably have
married 1844-50 so their marriage would have been registered at the local
Registration Office. Therefore if you can visit a Family History Centre you
can search the marriage index for both names. Finding their names will
provide you with the registration district, say St. Asaph or Denbigh and
also the year quarter of the marriage, the volume no. and the page no. for
the registration. Having this information you can request a copy of the
marriage certificate from the ONS at Southport of even from the local
Registration Office. There is a charge for the search and issue.
Regards,
John

Subject: [DEN] EDWARD ROBERTS of Trefnant
Has anyone any idea where Edward ROBERTS born 14 Nov 1824 and
married
Lydia
ROBERTS in AUGUST 1824 .would have got married. Most of their
descendants
live in Trefnant so I assume the church or chapel would be in that
area.
Charles in flat East Anglia.
