Hi Pat,
From one ex Welsh Jones to another!
Rhos (etc) is in the old county of Denbighshire but the British have gone
through some complicated name changes over the last twenty or so years and a
more lively group meets on CLWYD-L(a)rootsweb.com, which incorporates the old
and the new Denbighshire
Fred Jones in sunny Johannesburg

*Edward Griffiths b. 1827 Wales d. 1870 (I think) Jackson Co OH m.
Hannah Catherine (Round/Price) b. PA d (have d/c) Jackson Co OH (Hannah
& Catherine were sisters)

John was a partner in a mining company in Lower St. Clair Twp Allegheny
Co PA before finally relocating to Jackson Co OH
I have the obit for Prof. James W. Sauvage telling me where he was born
and list his survivors. He addressed letters to the family as "Dear
Cousin" It is said that he is connected to them via Elizabeth (nee
Jones) Griffiths. I know he visited the farm once or twice that I heard
of.
I began my searches with this Griffiths family and have really made no
headway with them. I finally began reading documents and learned that
for the first two yrs I was looking in the wrong region of Wales.
Since we have the nxt Griffiths reunion coming up in a few months I
would love to have made some headway with this group.
If anyone recognizes this fine group of Welshman please shout. I ask
them constantly to give me a sign as to their origin, so far nothing.
I hope this is the correct region for Rhosllanerchurgog.
Thanks ever so much in advance from a desperate researcher
in my tiny spot of Darke Co OH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
