Hi, my name is Catherine and I am in Brisbane, Australia, and would appreciate any help or
advice on how to find my DAVIES/JONES ancestors from Wales.
My gr grandparents were David Davies and Elizabeth Jones (such common names) and in the
1881 Census they were living at 2 High Street, Ruabon, Denbigh. Both aged 24yrs and both
born Rhos, Denbigh, Wales. He was a coal miner.
In the 1891 census they state they are born at Ruabon and are living at Tyldesley, Lancs,
with their children -
Margaret 9yrs bn Ruabon,
Isaac 7yrs " "
Sarah 5yrs " Tyldesley (my grandmother)
Edwin 3yrs " "
Jane ... ? months "
Can anyone help me with finding the marriage of David and Elizabeth as they are such
common names and I don't know their parents names? Until I can find this I can't
find their births.
thank you,
Catherine
