I have been in the Colwyn Bay library this morning and found a bit more about
my wife's ancestors. Here are the details of what I discovered, just in case
it connects with any other list members research.
My wife's third g grandmother was Margaret FOULKS who married John HUGHES
(son of Edward HUGHES and Sarah HUGHES of Penmachno) on 23 October 1841 in St
Grwst Church, Llanrwst, DEN. Margaret was born in 1814 and was baptised in St
Grwsts on 18 March 1814.
Her parents were. John FOULKS a Butcher of Groesffordd Berthddu, Llanrwst and
Sarah EVANS. She was one of three children the others being Robert FOULKS
(bapt 9 July 1809) and Ann FOULKS (bapt 5 April 1812)
I suspect (but I am not yet sure) that John FOULKS is the John Foulks
baptised in Llanrwst 28 May 1775 who was one of the five children of John
FOULKS (born circa 1743 died 1801) descirbed as "of Denbigh" at the time of
his marriage to Elizabeth EDWARDS on 14 July 1774 in Llanrwst. John Foulks
and Elizabeth Edward's other children were Elinor FOULKS (bapt 18 June 1776).
William FOULKS (bapt 2 September 1780).Sarah FOULKS bapt (3 April 1784).
Richard Jones FOULKS (bapt 21 November 1786) and Mary FOULKS (bapt 10 May
1791 and buried 30 September 1792)
All the best
