Hello to the list,
The *Free to View* indexing program of the 1841-1891 UK Census at:
http://FreeCen.Rootsweb.com is really beginning to take shape. The English counties got
started ahead of us and are on to the 1861, so we Welsh need to pick up the pace on our
project! Currently 11 of the original 13 counties of Wales are in high gear.
Denbigh does not yet currently have a Coordinator for its County Project. We have had a
wonderful donation of transcripts for **24 Parishes** of Denbigh from John and Doreen
Jones. But, we need volunteers: transcribers, checkers and someone to keep watch over the
county to be able to convert them to the format for the on-line index.
If you have access to a fiche reader and 2-4 hours a week to donate to the project, please
contact me for information. The Wales FreeCen Project will supply the software, the fiche
and the support! Doreen and John have already supplied most of the elbow grease :-)
Your County needs You!!!
