Subject: [LAN] 1901 Census Decoder - Program Update
FYI an updated version of my census decoder is now available from
http://censusdecoder.com. There is no compulsion to download this as all
it
does is REMOVE the facility to calculate the piece & folio numbers for
each
individual following the PRO's recent change to their website (see my
website for an explanation). It will still allow grouping by PageID's
even
though they are different every time you run the software so please do
not
rely on them other than within the same session. There is a beneficial
side
effect in that the first search process carried out is virtually
instanteous
as it no longer has to load the conversion database.
If you have version 1.0.2 there is no need to download the update as you
do
not gain anything specifically other than not having to load the
conversion
database.

The Leeds Indexer's version has also been updated if you use that instead

John, does that mean that even if we have already downloaded your earlier
version of your program we will now need to download it again to be able
to
get all that is available?
