It is possible that John Simon married Elinor Hughes in the parish of Brymbo on 29th
December, 1845. Bride's father was Thomas Hughes. The 1851 census has the family
living in my home village of Southsea with Jonathon and John at home. The 1861 census has
the family living in Hamlet Road, Brymbo with a child you have not mentioned, Isaac Simons
but having had a look at the census image, it was Jesse so it was a mistake on the part of
the person who did the census.
In 1871 the family were living in the Lodge village with the addition of Thomas H Simon.
By 1881 they were lining in Butchers Field, Pentre Broughton. By a coincidence, my
ancestors also lived in this area. There were 2 grandsons living with John and Ellinor,
Jonathon and William. I believe Jonathon was the son of John and his wife Anne Davies who
were possibly married in 1869 in St Giles parish church, Wrexham.
That is all I can find for now.
