I'm now reasonably convinced that "White Rock" is a 'red-herring'.
It's probably a poor transcription of bad handwriting?
"Rock" is likely to be "Rhos" with the "White" being a
district of Rhos?
Hugh Davies and Anne Dodd were married on 8 Nov 1934 at Ruabon Parish Church. The
witnesses were Robert Davies & Hannah Jones.
On the 1851 census they are living at "Street Rhos" (possibly your "White
Rock"???), however, Hugh does give his place of birth as Wrexham parish, not Ruabon.
