Hello listers,
I am trying to work back from my ancestor Robert Lloyd, born about 1774 in Denbighshire,
probably at the farm at Brynkenrick. He married Margery Hatton probably in Liverpool in
1799. She may well be a Denbighshire person also (not born in Lancashire, anyway).
They had seven children born in Liverpool, then Edward, baptised 12 Jan 1817 at Lysfaen,
when Robert was farming at Pentre Gwyddel, and then Elizabeth, baptised 8 Nov 1818 at St
George, where Robert was the landlord of the Red Lion. Robert later returned to Liverpool,
but Margery died at some point, possibly in Denbighshire.
The endpapers of a family bible (in very poor condition) have entries (mainly Lloyd and
Hughes) going back to 1624, but it is not clear where the various BMDs happened, except
that Robert was living at Brynkenrick as a child. Segrwyd is one other location for the
Lloyds, and Jones is mentioned at Ty Canol, about a mile from Brynkenrick.
It's likely that Robert was baptised at Lysfaen, but the PR images are not available.
Any help in nailing things down, even the odd sighting, would be much appreciated.
