Well, I am going to unsub for the season to head to warmer climate for the winter.
If you find any family of the
John & Ann Jones of the Ruabon area tell them to hang tight for my return in the
spring.
They had
#1 Elizabeth (nee Jones) m John Griffiths in the Ruabon Parrish
This couple eventually relocated to the US via PA to Madison Twp Jackson Co OH. I a good
deal on this line.
#2 Thomas J. Jones m. Sarah ? in Wales and had 2-3 children there. I am closer to finding
the son in Jackson Co OH. John J. Jones served in the Civil War and was a prosecuting
attorney in Jackson Co and is buried there somewhere near his father so the story goes.
#3 Mary (nee Jones) Sauvage is the one who remained in the Denbigh area to my knowledge
and recently we have been fortunate enough to find some of her line and some of her
husband's line. I hope to continue this when I return. I will write the one I know
of in Wales while in FL.
I am hoping there are family members buried in the Ruabon parrish cemetery. What a treat
to get photos of those markers.
Well, I must end and unsub from the list.
Ian if you get this send me your snail mail and I will keep in touch from FL.
Have a great season all.
I would also like to find a person from this list that helped me a great deal in finding
our Elizabeth Jones in Wales and sending me copies of the parrish records. If anyone
could ck a directory for flintshire please shout. I have her addy, but I find her e-mail
does not work. She may have needed time away from the list, but I would like to write her
snail mail to keep in touch. I think of her and worry a bit. I will search the web to
see if I am able to find a directory as well.
Thanks all and again have a great holiday season and keep warm.
Pat Jones
