Hi All,
I live in the United States and am going to visit Llanrwst this July to see
where my grandmother grew up, but am having difficulties finding directions
to the mill that her father, John Jones, owned so I hoped someone might know
of it and give me directions. It was called Felin Ucha and the 1881 census
listed it as being on Denbigh Street, but the 1901 census listed its address
as Upper Mill House. I tried mapquest to see if I could find directions,
but was not successful.
I would appreciate whatever help you could give me.
Take a look at
http://www.old-maps.co.uk/
and search for Llanrwst. Choose Denbighshire for the east of the valley
or Caernarfonshire for the west of the valley.
The map of the Denbighshire part of Llanrwst clearly shows Denbigh
Street and I can see Felin Isaf but I can't see Felin Uchaf.
You mave have to pan around a bit.
Regards,
Ian
