Hello Rhian,
Many thanks for your comments. I believe there is a link between Jerusalem
and Tyn Rhyd. Do you have an E'mail address of Ruthin so that I can contact
them?? I am planning to be in North Wales next Month and it could be an
opportunity for me to perhaps call to Ruthin and check..
regards
Geraint

It might be worth contacting the Archives in Rhuthun even though
there is
nothing on their site. I think I am right in saying that all the records
(or
copies of records) of non-conformist chapel baptisms were gathered
in
centrally when the national system of registration of births marriages and
deaths was to be set up in 1837 and the registers of the Anglican Church
were to be changed which is why they are kept at Kew via the General
Register Office. However, microfilms of these records were created quite
early on in the history of such microfilms and are often to be found at
Record Offices/Archives. Certainly the film for Meirionnydd is at the
Archives at Dolgellau, so I would think there is a copy of that for
Denbighshire at Rhuthun. There are also copies of the microfilm at the
National Library of Wales. Having said that, Capel Tyn Rhyd is not listed
in
Cofrestri Anghydffurfiol Cymru: Nonconformist Registers of Wales,
which
only
lists Jerusalem.
Rhian
