Sorry, Ian, I should have said. Abernant, again, comes from family
recollections.
Alice did marry Rowland Moore - I have their marriage certificate and think
I have now found her birth entry but cannot track down Alice's roots along
with her parents/siblings or when/why they moved to Derbyshire.

Did Alice Edwards marry Rowland Moore? If so, the 1891 census says "N
Wales, Ruabon" as her place of birth. Where did you get the Abernant from?
Abernant is a district of Acrefair near Ruabon.
