Hi,
I know of a Rowlands whose family was from Wales and went to NE PA and then
he moved to Randolph, WI. He was a minister in the Presbyterian Welsh
Church. His daughter who just died was born in PA around 1912. Could this
be your family?

Subject: [DEN] Jones, Ruthin ca. 1851
Hello List,
Starting to work on my maternal great grandmother's family. Looking for
any
information on
Alice Jones, born Ruthin on 6, March 1851 to William and Ellen Jones.
Alice
later married my gt grandfather Hugh Jones of Dolwyddelan about
1873.
Can't come up with anything from the BMD on Alice's parents, siblings, nor
her marriage to Hugh. Her obituary in NY, USA 1915 stated she was survived
by a
sister "Mrs. David Williams, of Gellifor, Ruthyn." Of
course it didn't
mention
her sister's given name.
If sks would do a census lookup for William and Ellen Jones, Ruthin area
for
1861, 1871? I would appreciate it very much. Alice would have been
ca.
10/11.
She may have been born after the '51 was taken.
Thank you in advance for your help.
