Subject: [DENBIGHSHIRE] Denbighshire estates 18th century. Lloyd family tenant farmers.
To: wls-denbighshire-l(a)rootsweb.com
I have Lloyds in my tree, living at Brynkenrick (OS 944709, near Llanfairtalhaiarn) about
1780. I think they must have been tenant farmers. Can anyone help me with the name of the
estate which owned it, and would the papers possibly help me with tracing the family
further back? (Or forward to confirm existing researches). My Lloyds later linked with
Hughes of Rhuddlan and Rhyl. Robert Hughes (b. abt. 1742 was captain of a ship which
worked the coastal trade, and he eventually settled in Liverpool, as did Robert Lloyd (b.
abt. 1775, son of Henry Lloyd, who were living at Brykenrick in 1786). David Jones
