Just checked a new UK Government website for travel info (
www.transportdirect.info ) and typed Holyhead, Isle of Anglesey and Holt,
Wrexham in as the "Door-to-Door" departure and destination and it gives the
journeys it recommends.
Unfortunately it only gives the option of checking journeys uptill March
2005 - so for July you'll need to check in May.
But here is one journey it suggests for 22 March 2005 (just to show what it
says)...
Walk to Holyhead train station
Take the Arriva Trains Wales train towards Crewe
Get off at Chester Train Station
Walk to Beaconsfield Street, Boughton, Chester
Take the F. Fuxley & Son's bus (number C56) towards Wrexham
Get off at the Cross in Holt
The website says that journey takes 2 hours 40 minutes.

Subject: Re: travel to Wales
Hi,
We are planning a trip to Ireland in July. Since my husband had
ancestors from Holt, we would like to visit there, too. We note that
there is a ferry from Dublin to Holyhead. We do not plan to drive. Is
there a reasonably priced, dependable way to get from Holyhead to Wales?
Thanks for any help.
