Hello Jenny,
Have a look at Gareth Hicks' Help Pages
http://home.clara.net/tirbach/hicks3.html#Divorce
One thing that Gareth doesn't mention on his page is that because divorce
was an unusual event prior to 1914, many divorce proceedings were reported
in all their sensational detail in local and even national newspapers, so
having found the date of divorce newspapers might be a good follow up
source.
All the best
Alwyn

Pwnc/Subject: [DEN] Divorce records
Does anyone happen to know where divorce records would be kept? Also, does
anyone know under what circumstances a divorce is granted? My GG
Grandmother and her second husband divorced sometime between 1878 when they
were married and 1881 when she came to the US with her first husband's
children. Thanks.
