During WWII, Wrexham born Joseph PARKER was a sapper with the
Australian Field Regiment,
but some of his kin and cousins such as the TILSON family were still
residing in the area of Wrexham with
assorted names such as TILSTON, STEEN and PARKER.
Joseph was the son of Richard PARKER and grandson of Jesse and
Elizabeth PARKER.
In the 1880's they were living at No. 41 Crescent Place at Wrexham
Regis, but by 1901
Richard PARKER was a plasterer at Ruabon. Joseph was born in 1902.
Richard's younger sister Jane would marry Edward TILSTON in Wrexham
while one Hannah would marry Jesse STEEN from Overton in 1889. Of
interest,
Hannah, the oldest sister of Richard would not be found at the abode on
Crescent Place.
It is thought that she would be residing with Joseph & Margaret
ALLERTON at the Rectory
in Ightfield, Shropshire. It is uncertain, but Margaret is likely
Margaret BOYCOTT
born in Cheshire while Joseph ALLERTON, the bootmaker was from
Flintshire.
On the TILSTON side, some of the connected names include DYKES, JONES,
WARD, LLOYD
and others.
So the big question is: Are there any connected PARKER folks still
residing in Australia
in such places as Canberra or various places in Victoria such as
Caulfield' any list members connected
to one of the families mention such as PARKER or TILSTON or STEEN.
