I think we can assume that the references to 'Ruabon' mean 'Ruabon Parish'
(probably Cefn Mawr) and not Ruabon itself.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Would anyone know where I
could search for the marriage index of Eliza and Charles?
This a *possibility*:
1858: Charles POWELL married Eliza HARRISON at St Giles, Wrexham
[Wrexham C.B. Ref: C45/05/137 - GRO Ref 1858 Dec Qtr 11b 583]
However, I can see a major flaw in re-directing postings from the Denbighshire message
board to the Denbighshire mailing list :-( .
If the original poster *only* uses the message board and a reply is made to the
re-directed posting on the list, then the original sender will not be able to read the
reply unless they are also subscribed to the list!!
