I have not been on the list for almost a year or so. But I have made such headway with
this line. I know there are real live relatives in Denbigh from my husband's
immigrant maternal Jones line. Two of us looking were spotted on this list by a relative
of this line. The relative was from another of this line, but found us never the less.
What a treat to find not only history, but real live family as well.
I don't fly. However, my son/husband want to take another trip to Wales and this time
include the Denbigh info I have found.
I am curious to know if the old rural cemeteries my have records somewhere. I am thinking
that my husband's maternal Jones/Griffiths are buried in Ruabon. I do have the names
of Elizabeth (nee Jones) Griffiths' parents. I am guessing her sister Mary (nee
Jones) Sauvage are buried in a nearby town with many letters. I have that name somewhere.
Mary was the mother of the opera singer James Sauvage and I know some of her line are
still in the Denbigh region. Sadly, the man I would love to speak to most does not own a
puter. This is my great loss.
I have told my husband/son if they make a trip nxt yr. They have my orders to enter the
cemeteries, introduce themselves and take plenty of photos. They did not do that in
Llanddeiniol last trip and I will kick somebody's behind if they come home with no
photos next trip.
Shout if there is a place for me to ck for cemetery records such as marriage/burial/bapt.
I am now just getting bk into the swing of my volunteer work and hope to get more done on
family lines of our own. I have 2 leads on living descendants here in the US of our line
of John/Elizabeth (nee Jones) Griffiths and I hope to find them soon as well.
Have a great day all. The weather here in Darke Co OH is outstanding. Makes it difficult
to stay inside and put time on the puter.

I even think I found the info on the ship this couple came to the US on in 1838
I have had a good deal of luck on this line in the past yr. I don't want to get
greedy.
