Dear Listers,
I have hit a brickwall in my search for my Logan ancestors. They were Scots who for some
reason were living in Denbigh working as Tea Dealers in 1825 and for some years after
this.
James LOGAN married Isabella WALKER in Denbigh in 1825. They were my G/G/Grandparents.
They moved to Liverpool c.1832, and I don't find them again until I find Isabella as a
widow in County Durham in 1851 census.
John LOGAN, my G/G/Grandparents brother is in Denbigh in 1841 census. This info. was given
by a kind Denbighshire lister.
I have a request to SKS who has access to both the 1841 and 1851 censuses for Denbigh.
1. Could a search of both censuses be made for Robert Walker.(My G/G/Grandmothers
brother).
2, Could a search also be made of 1851 census for John LOGAN a Tea Dealer.
The 1851 census could be most enlightening, as I would like to find their places of birth
as this would give me something to follow up. The problem I have had in the past is that
Scotland was given as place of birth which does not help.
Yours sincerely, Norman H. Woods, County Durham.
