A long-standing brick wall has finally collapsed and revealed that one of my 3G
grandfathers was William Peters, listed on his son Edward's marriage certificate
(7/10/1851, St Giles, Wrexham) as a "limer". As the general area for this family
seems to lie somewhere between Brymbo, Bwlchgwyn, Minera and Ffrith - where there's a
lot of limestone, of course - is he likely to have been a quarryman, a lime burner, lime
supplier or a man who whitewashed walls?
Regards,
Keith
