Hello Norman,
I cannot find him in Llanrwst in 1861 and have searched Wales for a 50yr old
John logan to no avail. As ages were often 'rounded up' in 1851 it does not
follow that his age was correct! I came across a couple of John Logans but
none were tea dealers. Could he have changed his proffession do you think?
Of course, he could have gone back to Scotland!
Thanks for your kind words, I am only too glad to help. Pics have been
taken, will send soon as pos.
Cheers
Patricia

Subject: [DEN] 1861 census.
Thanks to the wonderful Patricia Williams, who found a missing link
for
me in the 1851 census for Llanrwst, I am now asking if SKS who has access
to the 1861 census for LLanrwst would be kind enough to checkfor the same
person.
His entry in 1851 is as follows: Llanrwst, Denbighshire.
Logan John HE U 40 Tea Dealer Plas Helyg 08 b. Scotland
n/a
I am hoping it may state where in Scotland he was born, which could help
to knock down a brickwall for me. Hopefully he also may have married
which would be a bonus.
Thanks to the List. Norman Woods, County Durham.
