I did not realise that there was a Holt in Denbighshire! I have a marriage
for David Bidder and Elizabeth Lighton (Leighton?) in Holt in September
1795 but have been looking at the village of that name near Bath in
Somerset. However Bidder is a Welsh name and so perhaps it is the
Denbighshire Holt that they married in?
It would be marvellous is someone has a minute and could check this out when
they are next researching.

I had a look through the parish registers of Holt for you. Posnit is a
very unusual name, I could only find one other entry for the name, and
that was a burial in 1745 (January 14th) of a Mary POSNIT (wife of John)
of Odford. Sory not to be more successful. It certainly does not look
like Thomas came from Denbighshire, perhaps more the Cheshire Marches.
